A. Prepare tools and materials
Removal tools: wrenches, screwdrivers, sockets, torque wrenches, etc.
Support equipment: jacks, support frames, etc., used to support the forklift body.
New bearings: Select the correct new bearings according to the forklift model and specifications.
Cleaning supplies: detergents, rags, etc., used to clean the bearing seats and the surrounding environment.
2. Detailed steps
1. Support the vehicle:
Use the jack to lift the forklift to a suitable height and ensure that the rear wheels are off the ground.
Place a support frame under the body to prevent the forklift from sliding or overturning during the replacement process.
2. Remove the tire:
Use removal tools (such as wrenches and sockets) to loosen and remove the screws on the tire one by one.
Carefully remove the tire from the wheel hub and set it aside.
3. Remove the brake and wheel hub:
Remove the relevant parts of the brake, such as brake pads, brake discs, etc., and place them properly.
Next, remove the nuts and washers on the wheel hub and remove the wheel hub from the shaft.
4. Remove the old bearing:
Carefully check the bearing seat and striking ring for damage and replace if necessary.
Use a special tool or hammer to gently tap the outer ring of the bearing to remove it from the wheel hub.
5. Clean and install the new forklift wheel bearing:
Use a cleaning agent to clean the oil and impurities on the bearing seat, striking ring and wheel hub.
Apply a proper amount of lubricating oil to the bearing to reduce friction and wear.
Install the new bearing to the bearing seat in the correct direction and push it into place using a special tool or thruster.
6. Assemble the wheel:
Reinstall the wheel hub, brake and tire to the forklift in the reverse order of disassembly.
Use a torque wrench to tighten all screws to the torque value specified by the manufacturer.
7. Test the vehicle:
After all assembly work is completed, start the forklift and perform an unloaded test.
Inspect the tires and bearings for abnormal noise, slippage or other abnormal conditions.
If there is no problem, perform normal test operation to ensure that the forklift runs smoothly.
C. Precautions
1. Safety first: During the entire replacement process, make sure that the forklift is in a stable state to prevent accidents.
2. Correct bearing selection: Select the correct new bearing according to the forklift model and specifications to ensure that it meets the requirements of use.
3. Cleaning and lubrication: Before installing the new bearing, be sure to clean the bearing seat and the surrounding environment, and apply an appropriate amount of lubricating oil.
4. Follow the specifications: Operate in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications and requirements to avoid damage to other components or affect the performance of the forklift.
5. Inspection and testing: After replacing the bearing, be sure to perform necessary inspections and tests to ensure that the forklift can operate normally.
