What are the causes of abnormal noise in cross roller bearings?

A. Causes of abnormal noise in cross roller bearings
1. When the bearing is running continuously, it will produce a low whistle or hum. If there is a harsh hissing, squeaking and other irregular sounds, it usually indicates that the bearing is not in good condition. Harsh friction sounds may be caused by improper lubrication. Improper bearing clearance can also produce metallic sounds.

2. Depressions on the outer ring track can cause vibrations and produce smooth, clear sounds.

3. If there is an intermittent sound, it means that the rolling block has signs of damage. This sound is produced after the worn surface is crushed, and if there are impurities in the bearing, a hissing sound is usually produced. Severe bearing damage can cause uneven noise.

4. If there are impact marks during installation, there will also be a sound, which will vary according to the speed of the bearing.

B. Solutions to different abnormal noises of cross roller bearings
1. Large metal noise
Extraordinary load: Correct assembly, study bearing clearance, adjust load, adjust the position of the frame shoulder;
Poor installation: Improve installation accuracy and correct installation method;
Insufficient or unsuitable lubricant: Add lubricant and select appropriate lubricant;
The rotating parts have contact: The contact parts of the curved seal have been corrected.

2. Conventional noise
Indentations, rust or scratches on the roller surface caused by foreign matter. Surface deformation: Replace the bearing and pay attention to its use;
Peeling of the raceway surface: Replace the bearing.

3. Irregular noise
Too much clearance: Study the fit and bearing clearance, and correct the preload;
Foreign matter intrusion: Study the replacement of bearings, cleaning of related parts, improvement and application of sealing equipment;
Spherical wear and peeling: Replace the bearing.
